Thoracotrema oculatum

Taxonomy
Thoracotrema oculatum was named by Rasnitsyn (1988). Its type specimen is PIN 3559/4572, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bon Tsagaan (PIN collection 3559, outcrop 87/8), which is in an Aptian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Dzun-Bain Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Thoracotrema.
