Spinizonocolpites pachyexinatus was named by Jaramillo and Dilcher (2001) [Type locality: Piñalerita Creek near Sabanalarga.]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UFP 21, 13 x 108, a microspore (Pollen grain).
