It was reranked as the subfamily Mesochorinae by Khalaim (2008), Wahl (2014) and Klopfstein et al. (2019).

It was assigned to Ichneumonoidea by Förster (1869); to Ichneumonidae by Khalaim (2008) and Wahl (2014); and to Ophioniformes by Klopfstein et al. (2019).
