Taxonomy
Conularia splendida was named by Billings (1866). Its type specimen is Canadian National Museum 2157 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Carleton Point, which is in a Richmondian carbonate limestone/shale in the Vaureal Formation of Canada.
