Permopsyllidium lesclansis was named by Prokop et al. (2015). Its type specimen is Ld LAP 634, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is F28, Notre Dame des Clans, Lodève basin, which is in an Artinskian pond siltstone in the Salagou Formation of France.
