Taxonomy
Postpithecus curvicrista was named by Ameghino (1901). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Río Chico Oeste, which is in a Lutetian/Bartonian terrestrial horizon in Argentina.

It was recombined as Othnielmarshia curvicrista by Simpson (1948).
