Taxonomy
Namaloris rupestris was named by Pickford (2015). Its type specimen is GSN Nr 1, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Eocliff, which is in a Bartonian spring limestone in Namibia. It is the type species of Namaloris.
