Taxonomy
Mesoscytina magna was named by Lambkin (2016). Its type specimen is QM F58700, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is QML471, Quarry at end of Roberts Street, Dinmore, which is in a Norian pond mudstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia.
