Taxonomy
Flexicalymene scotica was named by Lamont (1949). Its type specimen is RSM GY1956.15.51, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Dailly grassy knoll, which is in a Hirnantian marine sandstone in the High Mains Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom.
