Taxonomy
Diaceratherium massiliae was named by Ménouret and Guérin (2009). Its type specimen is FSL 520287, a limb element (Left metacarpal IV), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Saint-Henri, which is in a Chattian terrestrial claystone in France.
