Zophepyris alavaensis
Taxonomy
Lancepyris alavaensis was named by Ortega-Blanco and Engel (2013). Its type specimen is MCNA 9759, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Peñacerrada outcrop I, which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in the Escucha Formation of Spain. It is the type species of Zophepyris.
It was recombined as Zophepyris alavaensis by Engel et al. (2016) and Azevedo et al. (2018).
