Taxonomy
Bradysia aliciae was named by Ramírez and Alonso (2014). Its type specimen is LM-FCEN 3072, a wing, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Camet Norte, which is in a Pleistocene lacustrine claystone in the Santa Clara Formation of Argentina.
