Taxonomy
Architipula (Grimmenia) secunda was named by Krzemiński and Zessin (1990). Its type specimen is LG 371/1, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Lehmhagen, near Grimmen (Zessin collection), which is in a Toarcian offshore shale in Germany.
It was recombined as Grimmenia secunda by Kopeć et al. (2017).
