Hetero - xyleed wood of Angiosperms Dicotyledons; Zones of growth present underlined by lines of terminal parenchyma and vertical traumatic secreting channels. Vessels with diffuse distribution, mainly isolated or in radial lines of 2-3 (10); Tangential diameter, 70-280 microns; Alternate hexagonal intervascular punctations, 8-12 μm in diameter; Perforations simpless; Elements of vessels of 150-500 μm in length. Vasicentric parenchyma, aliform at confluence between neighboring vessels and even between distant vessels, forming between them thin bands; Rare diffuse crystalliferous parenchyma; Circummedullary terminal parenchyma. Rays 1 (2) -serial, less than 1 mm (35-700 μm) in height, up to 25 cells, homogeneous to slightly heterogeneous III; Dilated crystalline cells, round to erect; Tangential width, 12-35 μm; 14-20 rays per mm tangential; Punctuations of elongated vessels-rays. Narrow woody fibers, 6-20 μm in diameter, medium to narrow; In part. |
