Menatops orbiculatus
Taxonomy
Cupes orbiculatus was named by Kirejtshuk et al. (2010). Its type specimen is MNT-05-198, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Menat (MNT collection), which is in a Selandian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France. It is the type species of Menatops.
It was recombined as Menatops orbiculatus by Kirejtshuk et al. (2016), Kirejtshuk (2020).
