Cainocups aixensis
Taxonomy
Cainocups aixensis was named by Kirejtshuk et al. (2016). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.A51230, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Aix-en-Provence (Coll. Nel), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - large limestone in the Niveau du gypse d'Aix Formation of France. It is the type species of Cainocups.
