Latocupes collaris

Taxonomy
Mesocupes collaris was named by Tan et al. (2007). Its type specimen is NIGP 142147, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (NIGP collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.

It was recombined as Latocupes collaris by Kirejtshuk et al. (2016), Kirejtshuk (2020).
