Protocyrtus mongolicus
Taxonomy
Gurvanhelorus mongolicus was named by Rasnitsyn (1986). Its type specimen is PIN 3149/948, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Gurvan-Ereny-Nuruu (Outcrop 236/29), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale/sandstone in the Gurvan-Eren Formation of Mongolia.
It was recombined as Protocyrtus mongolicus by Li et al. (2017).
