Taxonomy
Dytiscus glaucus was named by Brullé (1837). It is extant. It is the type species of Megadytes (Paramegadytes).

It was recombined as Megadytes (Paramegadytes) glaucus by Nilsson (2001) and Ramírez and Michat (2016).
