Calymene tournemini was named by Rouault (1847). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Placoparia (Coplacoparia) tourneminei by Hammann (1971); it was recombined as Placoparia tournemini by Hammann (1977); it was recombined as Placoparia (Coplacoparia) tournemini by Rabano (1989).
