Taxonomy
Cardium (Ceratoderma) yakatagensis was named by Clark (1932). It is extant. Its type specimen is UCMP 30384. Its type locality is UCMP 3860, which is in a Chattian marine horizon in the Yakataga Formation of Alaska.
It was recombined as Clinocardium yakatagense by Keen (1936) and Keen (1954); it was recombined as Ciliatocardium yakatagense by Kafanov (1980), Kafanov (2002); it was recombined as Clinocardium (Ciliatocardium) yakatagense by Hendy (2020).
