Gerontodacus skalskii
Taxonomy
Protoculicoides skalskii was named by Szadziewski and Arillo (1998) [Holotype number was erroneously published in the original description; MCNA-8645 is correct]. Its type specimen is MCNA-8645, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Peñacerrada outcrop I, which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in the Escucha Formation of Spain.
It was recombined as Archiculicoides skalskii by Szadziewski et al. (2016), Szadziewski (2018); it was recombined as Gerontodacus skalskii by Borkent (2019), Borkent and Dominiak (2020).
