Taxonomy
Prosodacna was named by Tournouër (1882). It is the type genus of Prosodacnidae.
It was assigned to Lymnocardiinae by Cox et al. (1969); to Limnocardiinae by Popa et al. (2009); and to Prosodacnidae by Bouchet et al. (2010).
