Taxonomy
Lycoriella (Protolycoriella) neogenica was named by Röschmann and Mohrig (1995). Its type specimen is MfN MB.I 1022/a, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Bitterfeld amber (MfN collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Germany.
It was recombined as Protolycoriella neogenica by Menzel and Mohrig (2000).
