Palaeoloxodon cypriotes

Taxonomy
Elephas cypriotes was named by Bate (1903). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kyrenia hills, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial limestone in Cyprus.

It was recombined as Palaeoloxodon cypriotes by Athanassiou et al. (2018), Athanassiou et al. (2019).
