Taxonomy
Conocoryphe lyelli was named by Hicks (1871). Its type specimen is _Sedgwick Mus. nos. A 765, A 1090, A 1081 (cotypes) and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Bailiella lyelli by Resser (1936).
