Taxonomy
Mulinoides plenicostatus was named by Devries (2019). Its type specimen is UWBM 107571, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UWBM B8772, which is in a Ypresian coastal horizon in the Caballas Formation of Peru.
