Gulo primigenius
Taxonomy
Gulo primigenius was named by Roth and Wagner (1854). Its type specimen is BSPM-PIK-AS II.53, a mandible (right mandibular ramus with c–m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pikermi (old collection), which is in a Miocene fluvial horizon in Greece.
