Taxonomy
Paraelectrobombus patriciae was named by Nel and Petrulevičius (2003). Its type specimen is MNHN-LP.R.11187, an exoskeleton, and it is a cast. Its type locality is Bes-Konak, which is in an Aquitanian lacustrine - large diatomite in Turkey.
It was recombined as Bombus (Paraelectrobombus) patriciae by Dehon et al. (2019).
