Taxonomy
Asaphis undulata was named by Gabb (1864). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Texas Flat, which is in a Campanian marginal marine sandstone in the Chico Formation of California.
It was recombined as Rhectomyax undulatus by Stewart (1930), Saul (1988).
