Taxonomy
Komnixta jarzembowskii was named by Szwedo (2019). Its type specimen is MNEMG IL 87a,b, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Thorness Bay, Bembridge Marls (MNEMG coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Komnixta.
