Taxonomy
Diacorixites szwedoi was named by Popov (2019). Its type specimen is NHMUK II.3045, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is North end of Thorness Bay, Bembridge Marls (BMNH collection), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Bembridge Marls Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Diacorixites.
