Taxonomy
Madygella humioi was named by Oyama and Maeda (2020). Its type specimen is MMHF3-00091, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Okubata, Omine Area, which is in a Carnian terrestrial shale in the Momonoki Formation of Japan.
