Taxonomy
Notodonax (Aliodonax) bolsae was named by Saul (1989). Its type specimen is LACM IP 7820 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA Loc. 4347 - Bolsa Point [Pigeon Point Fm], which is in a Campanian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone in the Pigeon Point Formation of California.
