Taxonomy
Taeniopteris mungyeongensis was named by Kimura and Kim (1989). It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is 81-163B. Its type locality is Hanaeri, Mungyeong Coalfield, which is in a Triassic fluvial horizon in the Bongmyeongri Formation of South Korea.
