Taxonomy
Dactylophyllum johnsoni was named by Read (1934). It is not extant. Its type locality is Evans Peak, which is in a Bashkirian/Gzhelian terrestrial sandstone/shale in the "Weber" Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Dactylophyllum.
