Wyomomys was named by Gunnell (1995). It is not extant. Its type is Wyomomys bridgeri.
It was assigned to Mytoniina by Gunnell (1995); to Omomyidae by McKenna and Bell (1997); and to Utahiini by Gunnell and Rose (2002).
