Cainomerga brevicornis
Taxonomy
Mesocupes (Cainomerga) brevicornis was named by Kirejtshuk et al. (2016). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.A51119, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Menat (MNHN collection), which is in a Selandian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France. It is the type species of Mesocupes (Cainomerga).
It was recombined as Cainomerga brevicornis by Kirejtshuk (2020).
