Cainomerga palaeocenica
Taxonomy
Mesocupes (Cainomerga) palaeocenicus was named by Kirejtshuk et al. (2016). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.A51117, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Menat (Olivier collection), which is in a Selandian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France.
It was recombined as Cainomerga palaeocenica by Kirejtshuk (2020).
