Mesocupes paulus
Taxonomy
Anaglyphites paulus was named by Ponomarenko (1964). Its type specimen is PIN 1789/91, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Karatau-Galkino (PIN collection 1789), which is in a Kimmeridgian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan.
It was recombined as Mesocupes (Mesocupes) paulus by Kirejtshuk et al. (2016); it was recombined as Mesocupes paulus by Kirejtshuk (2020).
