R. A. Martin 1973Tisisthenes parvus is a small, short-faced weasel with dental formula ?/?, 1/1, 3/2, 1/1. The first upper molar is without a metacone and separate metacone root. The infraorbitalforamen is small and anteriorly directed. The dorsal border of the foramen is stout and short. A deep fossa is developed in the orbit directly behind the posterior edge of the infraorbitalcanal. The dentary is shallow. The mental foramina are small.
