Lim 2001Mustelid-like carnivores with a distinct parastyle and a carnassial notch on the upper carnassial; lower carnassial with vestigial metaconid and no talonid; lower first molar small and trenchant; palate short; upper molar triangular; zygomatic arch slender; bullae inflated and complete with at least a partial septum; paraoccipital process reduced; muzzle short and cranium elongated.
