Taxonomy
Architipula minuta was named by Handlirsch (1939). It is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (NHMW collection), which is in a Toarcian offshore claystone in Germany.

It was recombined as Mesotipula minuta by Kopeć et al. (2020).
