Taxonomy
Mesolimulus crespelli was named by Vía (1987). It is a mold. Its type locality is Montral-Alcover quarries, which is in a Longobardian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Muschelkalk Formation of Spain.
