Taxonomy
Cuyanoscytinum arcucciae was named by Lara and Bashkuev (2020) [Forewing length (as preserved) 20.56 mm (counterpart, 15.75 mm) indicating a whole wing length about 22 mm; width 7.19 mm; L/W about 3.05.]. Its type specimen is IANIGLA-PI 1045a-b, a forewing (isolated forewing without clavus), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Quebrada del Durazno, Cerro Cacheuta (IANIGLA collection), which is in a Carnian lacustrine delta plain shale in the Potrerillos Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Cuyanoscytinum.
