Taxonomy
Cardium olequahensis was named by Weaver (1912). Its type specimen is CAS 483B, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UW 6, which is in an Eocene marine horizon in the Cowlitz Formation of Washington.
It was recombined as Loxocardium (Schedocardia) olequahensis by Weaver (1942); it was recombined as Schedocardia olequahensis by Hendy (2020).
