Taxonomy
Cardium dickersoni was named by Clark (1918). Its type specimen is UCMP 11207 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 1131, Walnut Creek, which is in an Oligocene marine horizon in California.
It was recombined as Trachycardium dickersoni by Durham (1944); it was recombined as Clinocardium (Clinocardium) dickersoni by Moore (2003), Hendy (2020).
