Meunierohelea fudalai was named by Szadziewski et al. (2020). Its type specimen is MAIG 6267, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (MAIG collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
