P. Edwards 1976 | Skull with short rostrum. More massive, bunodont lower molars than Stibarus, which do not have a subcrcsccntic appearance when little worn; paraconids are lacking. P/2, P2/, and P/3 may be tall, single-cusped, or low tri-cuspcd, elongate teeth. MI-3/ are triangular, but lingual edge is blunted-off. I,eptochocnis is the larger, more robust. genus of the subfamily. |
