Taxonomy
Iranophyllum (Laophyllum) nakamurai was named by Minato and Kato (1965). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Iwahatazawa, Yukisawa, Rikuzen Takada City, which is in a Sakmarian carbonate limestone in the Sakamotosawa Formation of Japan.
